Weekly Blog Wednesday's #4: The Rocket Plan part 2

It is Wednesday and I have part 2 now finally. After a meeting with the team on Monday we decided that the materials we will be using will be 3 mm acrylic,nuts and bolts,motors and a motor-board and the rocket will be cardboard . Our deadline for the design of the robot and artistic merit is on 20th February. We have set this so we can check our progress though the 3-4 months.

Pi Wars 2018 told us a lot about which controller to use. Last year, we used the Pi hut controller which worked sometimes but there was some interference with other remotes so to stop the interference we are using either a Wii remote or Xbox/PS controller which are very reliable. Some teams used them but one team used a computer which is a nice idea. We are looking into using a Wii remote as they seem to use a Bluetooth signal and shouldn't have much interference with other devices as the pi hut controller had so much interference that it stopped working half way through pi noon last year.
